MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) is a basic graduation course to practice Allopathy medicine. MBBS is a mandatory course before you enter in any stream of specialization (MD/MS/DNB) in Allopathy medicine.

1. Full Form of MBBS:

2. Duration:

The MBBS course typically spans 5.5 years, which includes:

  • 4.5 years of academic education.
  • 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship for practical training.

3. Eligibility Criteria:

Completion of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.

A minimum percentage requirement in qualifying exams (typically 50% for general category and 40% for reserved categories).

Qualification in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), which is mandatory for admission in India.
